The return of minimalism is here. Hence the reason why I posted a video about plain tank tops. This spring/summer are all about doing less.

Plain colors put together is the perfect idea of this go with the flow season trend.

It’s a very easy trend to follow, concidering you don’t have to do much to follow it at all.

Just put simple outfits together that are silky, simple separates, neutral tones, white-washed palettes, and future-friendly utilitarian details like paramilitary straps.

White Swimsuits

I’m sure everyone is going to head to the beach this summer, or to the backyard to tan! Either way, this summer’s hot new color for suits is white. It can be a little hard to pull of off but here are some helpful tips to get you ready for your new look:

It would helpful to tan or get an instant bronzer before wearing a white bikini. The white hue against your skin will make you look tan and slender.

Make sure to buy a thicker suit if its going to be white, so that it won’t be see-through.

Strapless tops are better for girls with a small bust, while a halter is better to show off those toned shoulders.

There is also always the option of a tankini to cover up more of the mid drift area.

Here are some different styles of white bikinis that work:

I’m pretty sure that sundresses are always going to be a big a hit every summer. As we all know everyone woman looks better in a sundress and the options are endless when it comes to the design of them. Spring is the most popular time for this wardrobe wonder to come out and play.

My favorite thing about sundresses is that all you have to do is slip it on and instantly you look put together without even trying.

This season all types of sundresses are popular from bright colors to patterns and florals here a couple examples of what is in this season:

All About the Blue

Blue is the hit color of this season. This trend is as easy as pie to follow. Anything from blue dresses, to blue blazers, to blue shoes… mixed with white and other summer colors will do the trick. A great fabric of choice for the summertime is cotton and things like cotton skirts and dresses are the perfect look for the hot weather.

If you choose not to wear a clothing item that is blue because maybe blue just isn’t your color, you can always add a splash of bright blue to finish your outfit. A pair of blue pumps with an average neutral outfit will make it look much more polished and dressed up. You can also add a blue belt or maybe even a blue handbag or clutch to create a masterpiece look.

Even something as small as blue nail polish or makeup can do the trick to pull your outfit together and add a dash of bright color to your outfit. This look is easily attainable and everyone should be able to accomplish it these season without a doubt.

Here are some examples from ELLE magazine of the perfect blue items to cool things down for summer:

the ’70s look

So as we all know, trends come and go. The 70s trends that’s currently in style is the sophisticated look.

Even the more demure looks need to be carried off with an air of sexuality and a sort of defiant independence. The 70s trend can be noticed immediately and has a very bold look to it.

This look can be achieved by wearing high-waisted flare jeans or pants with a belt. The blouses are usually silk or satin. Roll neck sweaters tucked into pants or tight skirts. Add to the ’70s effect by layering over beaded necklaces or a vest.

Jumpsuits are also a 70s trend and you can find ones almost anywhere in the mall. Choose high sheen fabrics with a ’70s disco-inspired edge, like lurex or silk or really anything with a metallic thread to it.

There are also a lot of accessories that go along with this trend. For example the sun glasses Kim Kardashian is wearing in the picture below.

Thigh high boots paired with a skirt or shots are also adorable. When you are wearing jewelry with this trend you want to keep it simple and wear lots of rings.

Maxi Dresses

One of personal favorites of the season are maxi dresses. Maxi dresses are long flowing dresses that can be any pattern or color. The reason why I like them so much is because they are flattering on almost any body type. A maxi dress is the perfect outfit for any summer day because you can wear it during the day and look really cute without even trying that hard and still staying extremely comfortable. You can also wear them at night and add a wedge heel or regular heels to spice the outfit up a little bit.

You can find all types of maxi dresses right now. Almost every store you look will have them. You can go for any style as well. There are floral print ones that have the more hippie vibe to them or solid color ones you could pair with a chunky necklace or cute belt.

The nice thing about maxi dresses is that if its a little breezy or cold outside it will be the perfect solution to your shorts and tank top dilemma. It covers a little more skin than some people are used to but the overall look of maxi dresses is absolutely adorable.

Recently clogs have come back in style. Everyone knows how popular clogs used to be and this season they are becoming an even bigger fashion icon. Clogs are usually wooden with wooden soles and the front covers your whole foot. There are some clogs that have a peep-toe but most are closed-toed. Clogs are nice because they can be warn year round. The most popular style of clogs right now is the wooden heel. The style of heels that is popular right now has become the more chunky style.

There are also different versions of clogs available that look more like sandals. The come in various colors and the overall shape of them is less clog like. They are a great alternative for those who aren’t really feeling the entire clog look.
