The return of minimalism is here. Hence the reason why I posted a video about plain tank tops. This spring/summer are all about doing less.

Plain colors put together is the perfect idea of this go with the flow season trend.

It’s a very easy trend to follow, concidering you don’t have to do much to follow it at all.

Just put simple outfits together that are silky, simple separates, neutral tones, white-washed palettes, and future-friendly utilitarian details like paramilitary straps.

Maxi Dresses

One of personal favorites of the season are maxi dresses. Maxi dresses are long flowing dresses that can be any pattern or color. The reason why I like them so much is because they are flattering on almost any body type. A maxi dress is the perfect outfit for any summer day because you can wear it during the day and look really cute without even trying that hard and still staying extremely comfortable. You can also wear them at night and add a wedge heel or regular heels to spice the outfit up a little bit.

You can find all types of maxi dresses right now. Almost every store you look will have them. You can go for any style as well. There are floral print ones that have the more hippie vibe to them or solid color ones you could pair with a chunky necklace or cute belt.

The nice thing about maxi dresses is that if its a little breezy or cold outside it will be the perfect solution to your shorts and tank top dilemma. It covers a little more skin than some people are used to but the overall look of maxi dresses is absolutely adorable.

Crop Tops

Crop tops have come and gone throughout the years, changing style in many different ways. Crop tops are usually mid-drift tops that show your stomach and are perfect for the summertime. This season crop tops are totally in. The new style of crop top this spring is to be more fitted and fancy then in previous years. The styles that I have been seeing have been tighter fits with plain designs or solid colors.

Crop tops range in length from showing all of your stomach to almost nothing with a looser fit. They can be warn several different ways and paired with skirts, shorts, or jeans. The shorter crop tops also look really cute with high-waisted pants.

Bandos which are a fairly new trend, can also be considered a crop top. You can wear them underneath a sheer top or a loose fitting top where you can see it through the sides or on the neck line.

Here are a couple examples of what crop tops look like and what you can wear them with:
